Meet Our Veterinarians!

Dr. Kris Montgomery

Dr. Montgomery grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and attended both the University of Kentucky as well as Auburn University.  She practiced in Northern Kentucky for seven years, then moved to Indiana where she worked until moving to Lexington. She has been at Brighton Animal Clinic since 2001 and loves meeting new clients and their pets. Dr. Montgomery currently resides in Lexington with her husband and fifteen year old stepson. In her spare time, Dr. Montgomery enjoys hiking, skiing, walking and scrap-booking. At the end of the day she goes home to her dog Aspen and her cat Quinn; which are constant reminders of why she loves animals and her job!

Dr. Tracy Jenkins

Dr. Jenkins grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa until her family relocated to Lexington, Kentucky when she was just eleven years old. While she was still in Iowa, Dr. Jenkins fulfilled a dream every young girl hopes for, she became a horse owner at the young age of nine years old! Dr. Jenkins spent her undergraduate years at the University of Kentucky and later attended  Auburn University Veterinary College, where she graduated in 1992. Dr. Jenkins brought her talents to Brighton Animal Clinic in 2004 when she joined our veterinary staff. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, spending time outdoors, spending time with her two horses, and horseback riding, of course!
